Spend 5 days and 4 nights discovering the cote de Nuit
and the Cote du Beaune with as much luxury as you want. Ride
through the vineyards, taste the most renowned wines in the world,
enjoy the fabulous food of Burgundy, and visit many charming towns
along the way.
Day 1:
Arrival in Beaune. 20
Km + option rides
Meet at our office. We will provide with your package and adjust your
bicycle. Short ride to your first hotel in Nuits St Georges, through
the Grands Crus vineyards of Corton and Corton Charlemagne.
Night and dinner in Nuits St Georges.
Day 2: The Cote de Nuits and its
red wines. 35 Km + option rides
Biking through the most renowned vineyards for the Pinot Noir: Gevrey
Chambertin and Chambolle Musigny, following the Route des Grands Crus
to the Clos de Vougeot and its 15C chateau, Vosne Romanée, the Romanée
Conti (the most expensive wine of Burgundy). Night in Nuits St
Georges. Dinner on your own, but we provide restaurant suggestions.
Day 3: Hautes Cote de Nuits to
Beaune 30 Km
Bike up through picturesque villages and blackcurrent fields, which
are used to make the local liquor, creme de cassis. Add to white wine
to make a Kir and to sparkling wine to make a Kir Royal. Visit the old
town center of Beaune, its 15C ramparts, its 13C Basilica Notre Dame
and its Hospices founded in 1443 as a hospital for the poor. Night and
dinner in Beaune.
Day 4 : The Cote de Beaune
“The Chardonnay Kingdom“ 32 Km
Bike among the vineyards of Pommard, Meursault, Puligny Montrachet,
and Chassagne Montrachet. You will rendez vous around 11.30 for a
private cellar tour before your lunch and tasting. 8 wines to taste, a
nice way to learn a bit more about the wine! Dinner on your own
tonight - lots of choices in Beaune.
Day 5 :
Departure
Price does not include air transportation or transfers
to and from the ride start.
