In 7 days and 6 nights, you will see a cross section of the Burgundy towns.   From the wine towns to those along the canals to the ancient hilltop towns and the castles and chateaux.  Experience the passion which is so much a part of the peoples lives and is most notably reflected in the care that goes into preparing and serving the fabulous regional foods.  You will end this trip wondering whether you will ever feel this welcomed again.

Day 1: Arrival in Beaune 12 miles + option rides
Meet at our office. We will provide with your package and adjust your bicycle. Short ride to your first hotel in Nuits St Georges, through the Grands Crus vineyards of Corton and Corton Charlemagne.
Night and dinner in Nuits St Georges.

Day 2: The Cote de Nuits and its red wines 21 miles + option rides
Biking through the most renowned vineyards for the Pinot Noir: Gevrey Chambertin and Chambolle Musigny, following the Route des Grands Crus to the Clos de Vougeot and its 15C chateau, Vosne Romanée, the Romanée Conti (the most expensive wine of Burgundy). Night in Nuits St Georges. Dinner on your own, but we provide restaurant suggestions.

Day 3 : Nuits St Georges to Chateauneuf en Auxois

Great ride up the Hautes Cote and its blackcurrant fields. (used to make the regional liquor, crème de cassis) Amazing views of the vineyards before reaching the Canal de Bourgogne. Night and dinner in Chateauneuf en Auxois.

Day 4 : The Auxois region
Quiet cycling along the canal, through fields and picturesque villages. Take time to explore medieval Chateauneuf en Auxois with its 12C fortified castle perched on small hill, and the 16C castle of Commarin and its frescoes.

Day 5 : Chateauneuf en Auxois back to Beaune
From the Chateau you follow the Ouche River Valley through the forests, before getting to the most renowned vineyards for the white wine of Burgundy and returning to Beaune. Take time to visit the old town center and the Hospices de Beaune founded in 1443 as a hospital for the poor. Night and dinner in Beaune.

Day 6 : The Chardonnay Kingdom
You will be ready to explore the Cote de Beaune, Chassagne Montrachet, Puligny Montrachet, Meursault, Pommard, and Volnay . Rendez vous at 11.30 in Puligny Montrachet with Mr Lefalive, who will show you his cellar, and his vineyards, before your lunch and wine tasting at his place. Night in Beaune. Dinner on your own with our suggested restaurants list.

Day 7 : Departure

Price does not include air transportation or transfers to and from the ride start.
